Private Clients Tax Director
Purcell McQuillan Tax Partners is celebrating 25 years in Business. The firm has a team of 20 highly experienced tax professionals who are experts in all areas of taxation and advise on all tax related transactions.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially minded tax professional with strong technical advisory capability and proven experience managing complex client engagements across a broad range of domestic and international tax matters.
The firm is particularly interested in individuals who enjoy high-level client advisory work and relationship management, with flexibility around title and overall structure depending on the successful candidate’s background and long-term career objectives.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our established client base and senior leadership team advising entrepreneurial, privately owned and international businesses on a wide variety of tax matters.
The position can be tailored toward either:
- A traditional Partner-track leadership role with broader business development and team management responsibilities; or
- A more ringfenced senior advisory position focused primarily on technical client work and project delivery.
The firm currently has a strong pipeline of advisory work in place, providing an excellent platform for an experienced professional looking to focus on high-quality client engagements.
The work will include:
- Delivering high-value tax advisory services to a diverse client portfolio
- Advising clients on corporate restructures, transactions and succession planning
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Working closely with internal teams to oversee project delivery
- Supporting the development of junior team members
- Participating in business development and networking activities where appropriate
The Person
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified
- Significant experience within professional services tax advisory
- Strong technical tax knowledge with excellent client management skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Experience managing complex advisory projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Open to candidates operating at Senior Manager /Director level
